Our Impact

What Changes When Support is Closer?

We look beyond the number of activities. We ask whether mothers feel supported, whether children get timely care, whether parenting confidence grows, and whether communities take ownership of the work.timely care, whether parenting confidence grows, and whether communities take ownership of the work.

What we have seen

In an earlier follow-up group of 56 mothers and 54 children, we tracked results at enrolment, after 8 weeks
and after 3 months, using adapted WHO-5 and PHQ-4 wellbeing questions and nutrition checks.

Results
Mothers reporting less stress and anxiety after 8 weeks of Mother Circles 78%
Mothers reporting more confidence in caring for their child 71%
Mothers who correctly named infant danger signs after audio-visual sessions 85%
Referred children in the tracked group whose MUAC nutrition score improved within 6 weeks 68%

What we are learning

Mother Circles give mothers a regular place to share and seek support. Screening helps us spot concerns early and refer. Facilitators from the community keep the work rooted in trust. We also look for where we
fall short, and we change the model when families tell us it is not working.

Stories from the communities

Behind every activity is a person making decisions for her family. Mothers who first came to a SafeHub as participants now train as peer facilitators and support other mothers. We share stories of mothers,
caregivers and facilitators who have shaped the SafeHubs, with their informed consent and respect for their privacy.
