EKISIL was built from a simple belief: communities closest to a challenge should have a meaningful role in shaping the solution .Working alongside communities living with remoteness, insecurity and displacement showed us that the challenges facing mothers and children could not be addressed in isolation. Maternal wellbeing was connected to mental health. Parenting was connected to nutrition and child development. Safety was connected to information and community. Household resilience was connected to livelihoods and opportunity.
Communities did not need another fragmented intervention. They needed support that could meet them where they were. That learning shaped EKISIL’s integrated community approach and ultimately the Solar Digital SafeHub model. Today, we are building on community trust, field experience and evidence to strengthen and responsibly scale solutions designed for hard-to-reach communities.
To help families move from surviving crisis toward safety, dignity and resilience through practical, community-led solutions.
A future where mothers, children and families in even the hardest-to-reach communities can access the support, knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive.
We listen first. With mothers and local partners, we agree priorities, adapt the SafeHub to the setting and connect the right services. Community facilitators help run activities and keep relationships strong. We review what is working, listen again and change what needs changing
People should never be reduced to their circumstances, displacement status or statistics. Every person deserves to be seen, heard and treated with dignity.
The people closest to a challenge must have a meaningful role in shaping the solution.
Safety, privacy, inclusion and dignity guide how we work.
We respond to immediate realities while strengthening the relationships, skills and systems communities need for the future.
We begin with the experiences, priorities and strengths of communities.
We develop solutions with communities rather than for them.
We bring practical support closer through locally rooted platforms and partnerships.
We use community feedback and program evidence to understand what is changing.
We strengthen the model based on what communities and evidence tell us.
EKISIL brings together professionals, community facilitators, local leaders and partners who understand both the realities on the ground and the systems required to create sustainable change. Our work is strengthened by people who listen, learn and build relationships of trust with the communities we serve.

EKISIL works through relationships with community organizations, technical partners, institutions, funders and public systems that can strengthen the quality, reach and sustainability of our work. Partner logos and descriptions should be grouped by the real nature of each relationship: Funding & Recognition; Technical; Community & Implementation; Government & Institutional Collaboration.
