Through community engagement and listening to women on the frontlines of crisis, it became clear that mothers carry a disproportionate burden during displacement.
EKISIL was founded in response to the urgent need for safe, adaptable support systems in border communities affected by conflict, displacement, and instability. In these fragile environments, families are often uprooted with little warning, social structures break down, and access to essential services becomes limited or unsafe.
Through community engagement and listening to women on the frontlines of crisis, it became clear that mothers carry a disproportionate burden during displacement. They are caregivers, providers, and protectors, often while facing trauma, poverty, and social exclusion. EKISIL was created to respond to this reality with practical, dignified, and community-driven solutions that restore stability and opportunity.
Every mother deserves respect, safety, and the opportunity to rebuild her life with confidence.
Solutions are locally owned and guided by the voices of the women and communities we serve.
We prioritize marginalized, displaced, and hard-to-reach populations who are often excluded from mainstream services.
Our programs are flexible and designed for fragile, mobile, and rapidly changing contexts.
We focus on long-term stability, helping families move from survival to self-reliance.
EKISIL works primarily with:
Special attention is given to those with limited access to education, technology, healthcare, and safe community networks.
EKISIL combines protection, empowerment, and innovation to create holistic support systems:
We establish community-based safe spaces where mothers can access psychosocial support, peer networks, and information in a secure and welcoming environment.
We promote mental health, stress recovery, and protection awareness to help women cope with trauma and reduce risks of exploitation and violence.
Through practical training, mentorship, and small-enterprise support, we help mothers build income-generating skills that strengthen household stability.
We bridge the digital divide by providing digital literacy training and access to technology, enabling women to connect to information, services, markets, and opportunities.
EKISIL works with local leaders, women’s groups, and youth to strengthen collective problem-solving and long-term community stability.
EKISIL is not only responding to emergencies — we are investing in lasting systems of support. By strengthening mothers, we strengthen families. By strengthening families, we strengthen communities. Even in the most fragile border regions, we believe stability and hope can grow when women are supported, connected, and empowered.
